My computer specs are in my signature below and in the persuit of better FRs, I have temporarily dumped Active Sky v6.5 and have only been using FS9s built-in "Fair Weather" theme.What tipped me off to finally ask for this help was that I just downloaded the new (absolutely beautiful) KLAS freeware scenery mentioned elsewhere here and I don't take nearly the frame hit that I do with the FlyTampa sceneries - I was getting 19-23 on the ground there, and KLAS is a pretty detailed scenery. I have Ultimate Terrain USA and Canada and all of the FS Genesis Mesh, but I'm not running any complex payware aircraft - only POSKY 737s, ERJ-145s, and default heavies, albeit with paints downloaded from the AVSIM file library.
My computer is pretty strong - not lightning fast but not at all bad, and only about 6 months old - and somebody told me in another thread that they thought I should be getting better frame rates. I'm only getting 10-12 FPS on the ground using FlyTampa airports and Airport Environment Services (at their KMDW, KBOS, KSAN, and KSEA) with about 50% AI, and I also have slowish loading textures that are at first blurry and then come into focus within 1 or 2 seconds when at F元10, and I just don't think everything is running right.
Would someone mind taking a look at my CFG file (below) and tell me if they see anything that could be changed to bring my frame rates up? I've tried tweaking it myself but I can't seem to get any results, and I only seem to make matters worse more often than not.
